1). You must understand the characteristics of long pimple (like dead ball comes back dead, top spin comes back under spin, and under spin comes back top spin).
2). You must be able to handle the timing (e.g. long pimple aggressive stroke - the ball will travel fast initially then slow/die down)
3a). You either have a good enough forehand to finish off the points
3b) or you have good enough consistency to out-last your opponent
