Not kidding. If you're going to buy a new racket, it could be a big decision whether to play handshaker or penholder. If you could choose and focus on one thing, you could improve much more faster.

Many thanks for your suggestions but what's the difference between handshaker & penholder? Is that mean "橫拍直拍” ？

Yup.

handshaker = 橫拍
penholder = 直拍

and as you may know J-pen is Japanese penholder, C-pen is Chinese.

Seems like you're using C-pen, right? Do you use also the racket back side to hit the ball?

Yup, c-pen and forehand only.

The reason is that... if you're a piece of new white paper, handshaker is much much much easier to learn than penholder. Most penholder players play in penholder style just because they got no idea at the beginning and were brought to penholder by fate. After they got certain level of skills, it became not easy to switch.

Of course it's somehow controversial. But as I know handshaker has been the mainstream for long.
