「2012尼康香港青少年公開賽 – 國際乒聯青少年巡迴賽」將於8月15日至19日假香港灣仔伊利沙伯體育館上演，本會為隆重其事，今午(27日)於奧運大樓二樓賽馬會演講廳舉行新聞發布會公布詳情。
賽會今日邀得中國香港體育協會暨奧林匹克委員會義務秘書長彭冲先生、康樂及文化事務署高級康樂事務經理(體育資助)黃文健先生、尼康香港有限公司香港營業及市場部總經理尹競生先生及國際乒乓球聯合會青少年委員會主席暨香港乒乓總會主席余國樑太平紳士擔任是次主禮嘉賓及主持開展儀式。

06/27/2012        Nikon 2012 Hong Kong Junior & Cadet Open - ITTF Premium Junior Circuit

Once again tradition holds firm in Hong Kong.


In previous years to officially announce the Nikon Hong Kong Junior and Cadet Open, an ITTF Premium Junior Circuit Tournament, a lavish Press Conference has been staged; this year was no different.

On Wednesday 27th June 2012, a whole host of distinguished guests were present in the Lecture Theatre of the Olympic House, for the tournament which is very much becoming one of the flagship events of the ITTF Global Junior Programme.

Furthermore, one other vital tradition has remained in place.

Nikon is the title sponsor for the third consecutive year.

Dignitaries
Notable dignitaries present at the Press Conference were: Pang Chung (Honorary Secretary-General, Sports Federation and Olympic Committee of Hong Kong, China) and Leo Wong (Senior Leisure Manager, Sports Funding, Leisure and Cultural Services Department, Hong Kong Special Administrative Region).

In addition, as in previous years, Jimmy Wan (General Manager, Hong Kong Sales and Marketing Division, Nikon Hong Kong Ltd) was in attendance as was Tony Yue (Chairman, ITTF Junior Commission and Hong Kong Table Tennis Association) and Yue Yung Hing (President of the Hong Kong Table Tennis Association).

Final Appearance
Furthermore, all members of the Hong Kong Table Tennis Youth Squad were present including Chiu Chung Hei and Li Ching Wan, both are in their final year in the junior age group and thus are competing in the event for the final time.

Both Chiu Chung Hei and Li Ching Wan, in addition to all other members of the Youth Squad, are being coached under the direction on Ko Lai Chak.

Athens Medallist
A celebrated member of the Hong Kong National Team who won the silver medal with Li Ching in the Men𠏋 Doubles event at the 2004 Athens Olympic Games, he assumed the coaching role in 2012.

He addressed the Press Conference prior to matters concluding with representatives of Hong Kong Youth Squad presenting flowers to the distinguished guests and thanking all for their support.

Dates
The Nikon Hong Kong Junior Open will be staged from Wednesday 15th to Sunday 19th August 2012 in the Queen Elizabeth Stadium.

Preliminary entries are required almost immediately with the deadline date being Saturday 30th June 2012, the final deadline date in Monday 16th July 2012.

06/06/2012        Nikon 2012 Hong Kong Junior & Cadet Open - ITTF Premium Junior Circuit

Setting the standard and setting new standards, the Nikon Hong Kong Junior and Cadet Open has established itself very much as the flagship tournament of the ITTF Junior Circuit.

Situated in Asia and of course being a Special Administrative Region of the People𠏋 Republic of China, a high class entry has been the order of the day.

However, high class is not just restricted to the players, the whole presentation, organisation and welcome is high class.

The Premium status is well warranted.

The Nikon Hong Kong Junior and Cadet Open will be staged from Wednesday 15th to Sunday 19th August 2012.

ITTF Global Junior Circuit Event
The Nikon Hong Kong Junior & Cadet Open will feature singles, doubles and team events in the junior and cadet categories.

Prize Fund
The Organizing Committee offers a total prize fund of US$ 8,000; 10% tax deduction as per national laws.

Maximum Number of Entries
A maximum of 140 entries is accepted.

Nikon連續三屆冠名贊助
「香港青少年公開賽」自2009年首度舉辦，今年踏入第四屆，這項已成為香港乒壇一年一度的盛事。在過去三屆，「香港青少年公開賽」均獲國際乒聯評選為國際乒聯青少年巡迴賽中最成功之賽事及主辦單位，而本屆賽事更連續三年獲國際品牌Nikon冠名贊助。

U15團體賽採4單1雙新賽制
今屆賽事共分18歲以下青年組及15歲以下少年組，而每個組別均設有單打、雙打及團體賽，共12個比賽項目。過往少年組隊際賽均採用世界賽賽制，3人5場單打對賽，而今屆則改為就採用考比倫盃賽制，即係4單1雙，令賽事更緊湊。

港隊上屆勇奪4金4銀9銅
上屆賽事共吸引了共127名來自16個國家及地區的球員參賽，而香港多名青少年球手，包括趙頌熙、孔軍凱、李漢銘、孔嘉德、林兆恒、關文皓、鄺啟軒、杜凱琹、李清韻、吳嘉儀、蘇慧音、陳美珊、周蔚洋、林依諾、吳嘉莉等，在賽事中共奪得4金4銀9銅共17面獎牌。同時，在總獎牌榜已累計達10金9銀18銅，共37面排首位。

賽事免費入場乒迷萬勿錯過
「2012尼康香港青少年公開賽 � 國際乒聯青少年巡迴賽」將於2012年8月15日至19日假香港灣仔伊利沙伯體育館舉行，5天的賽事均全部免費入場。入場券將於每節賽事開賽前三十分鐘於伊利沙伯體育館入口處派發，每人每節最多可索取四張入場券，先到先得，派完即止。
