Tibhar MXP

I bought this rubber last week and played only once. Today I noticed the surface of the rubber has some small hair like lines. At first I thought there are cracks but its okay. I have an ELP for six months but the surface is very smooth. Is this a factory defect? Has any one here encountered the same thing.
